Bahamas

The Bahamas are part of an archipelago approximately 60 miles south east of the coast of Florida and consist of more than 700 islands most of them inhabited.
Columbus landed on an island (Salvador) on his first voyage to the New World in 1492.
Due to the amount of reefs, currents and shallows navigation is intricate that require understanding the color of the water to spot dangers ahead.
The country was notorious for pirates and buccaneers , illegal liquor smuggling during the prohibition years in America, merchandise during the Naval blockade and more recently a stopover for drug runners from South America.
The Bahamas is at large a giant resort for US and Canadian tourism with dozens of cruise ships moving around every day.
The positives side is the pristine clear water with visibility of more than 30 meters with lots of lobter and fish.
