St Lucia

St Lucia is a small island in the Eastern Caribbean with area of 238 square miles. In my opinion St Lucia is not a destination and more like a roadhouse in a highway where you only stop if you have to. I always wonder what attract people to fly here and spend a whole vacation in a hotel. You can drive and see all there is to see in a day. The island went from the French to the English many times from the 17 century until 1814 where the English (kiss-off) the French for good and the blacks lived happy thereafter. Explains why the food is so boring but the rum is good. It is a country of great thinkers and drinkers and you can see them often under the shade of a tree. When I was asked by my taxi driver where in the USA was Madrid (Spain) I thought that some of the American intellect has rubbed off on him. So if you are having thought of coming to St Lucia for a holidays you are better off in Bali (Yuk) At least the food is good.
