The cruising life is full of experiences and emotions that has far exceeded any expectation I had when I began.
I am guilty to an addiction to the open sea. Nothing else I’ve ever done has provided the feeling of complete freedom and have the control of where you are going next, with no safety net other than the recent acquired sailing skills and the strength of the vessel I am in.
Each place I go, I explore, eat the local food and make some friends along the way.
After spending sometime in one location the inertia that keeps me going forward is lost, and only the preoccupation of new places get me on the move again.
As time goes by sailing solo is becoming the perfect marriage between yourself and the boat, where you are the captain, first mate and crew all in one. To make sure the vocal chords are exorcised, you shout orders to the first mate and crew and you can choose whether they reply back or not, it is your choice on how much you want to work your tonsils.
